| One
may belive OpenGL or GDI+ is
involved. It is not, this is
pure GDI at it's best. Lightsource,
shadows, texture and a whole
set of other properties makes
this knob component the most
versatile available.

A number of presets
allow swift design, and detailed
customization is only clicks
away. Properties for changing
scale, font, marking, color,
texture and shape are available.
|
  |
The
scale and ticks can be drawn
onto the knob itself or on the
surrounding panel. All graphics
are rendered in realtime, no
bitmaps are loaded nor stored
within the component.
The scale may
be drawn either on the area
surrounding the knob or on the
knob itself, as can the ticks.
The scale may also be alphanumeric
in indexed mode as well as rotated
either towards or from the knob
itself. A property allows the
scale values to be formatted
to display any number of digits.

Instrumentation components no longer
have to look like toys. This is, by
far, the most advanced and visually
complex gauge component available
on the market. With more than 50 properties
all forged into a powerful component
editor, its appearance is higly customizable.
All background graphics including
ticks, scale and labels, is rendered
in four times the size off screen
and then downsized using anti-aliasing
techniques for maximum graphic quality.
Even the real time drawn needle may
be antialiased. The "tick"
indicators have variable length, width,
color, start and end angles or could
be excluded. This goes for the scale
numbers that can be drawn using any
font. The component can also display
its current value using a numeric
label. |
|
 |
|
  |
 |
| |
 |
| Unlike most
competing products, this component features
real life needle movement. This means
that the needle may slide smoothly into
position instead of instantly and unnaturally
change direction. If wanted, the application
user can alter the gauge value by dragging
the mouse over it, and if the component
is connected to a datafield (VCL only)
changes to the field are applied. This
component can be applied in many automation
instrumentation systems, including industry
process control systems, aircraft instrumentation
systems, remote monitor systems, scientific
simulation systems and other fields. |
|
  |
| |
 |
| A number
of photo quality background image bitmaps
are supplied with the component. These
images are of a variety of gauge types,
both 360° "circular" and
180° "VU" types, and they
come in a range of styles and colors
to suit different kinds of applications. |

| The
latest addition to the
our range of measurement
products is UniSpiritLevel,
a visual component that
simulates a spirit level
vial. Three modes are
available, horizontal,
vertical and circular.
The component size is
arbitrary and numerous
properties controlling
the appearance such as
spirit color, border color,
scale appearance are available.
It is also possible to
adjust the bubble inertia
to allow a most realistic
experience. It is even
possible to simulate arched
vials to make the bubble
'stick' to the vial walls
when in cicular mode.
Background graphics are
rendered at double screen
resolution for maximum
graphic quality. This
is to our knowledge the
only spirit level component
on the market. |

| This
is the best looking numeric
LCD component available.
UniLCD is Designed to
look as realistic as possible,
featuring display granularity,
antialiasing, lightsource
and shadows as well as
custom coloring of both
display and symbols. Character
features are managed using
properties for LCD segment
width and height. The
display is rendered in
high resolution and downsized
for optimal graphic quality.
The displayed
value can be formatted
to display an arbitrary
number of decimals. The
VCL version is also data
aware and can be connected
to any numerical data
field to display its contents
and even respond to content
changes. The component
can be aligned on a parent
window. |

is included in the UniComponents
component library and
is available in both VCL

it compatible with popular
development platforms
such as Microsoft Visual

This component simulates
a cylindric gauge displaying data
on a linear scale. It features true
3D, not plain shading like many similar
products. Any font can be used for
drawing the scale and the margin markings
can be altered by setting number of
markings, width, lenght and color.
The cylinder color may also be changed.
All graphics are real
time rendered to prevent excessive
memory usage.
The VCL version of the
component is data aware and may be
connected to any numeric field in
a database to display its contents
and even respond to content changes.
Unlike competing products,
UniCylinderGauge acts realistic. By
changing properties for sluggishness
and time elapsed until stabilized,
it may act just like a real world
gauge. Look at the demonstration application
to see what we mean!

After developing
signal processing applications
for a number of customers within
the telecom and science areas,
we decided to create a generic
component for use in any DSP
application. UniRTDSP (Uniworks
Real Time Digital Signal Processing)
should meet all needs when it
comes to analyzing data retrieved
from the microphone connector
of a computers soundcard. Data
is received in chunks of variable
size and every new chunk is
processed in an event. The core
event is executed once new data
is available and it gives you
two variables of interest namely
a pointer to the array of floatingpoint
(-1 to 1) values samples and
the size of the chunk of data.
You're also allowed to select
chunksize and samplerate. All
data is sent to the speakers
if wanted and the latency depends
on the chunksize and the number
of buffers used. Normally, latency
may be less than 1/100 of a
second. This control has been
successfully used in the development
of products for companies such
as Voxway and Optice.
UniRTDSP is available
as both VCL and COM-controls,
thus it is compatible with both
Borland and Microsoft development
platforms such as Visual Studio,
C++ Builder and Delphi. It comes
with full documentation.
